Uzes has a thriving, bustling market, that is well supported by tourists and locals.

It takes place on Saturday and Wednesday mornings all year round in the Place aux Herbes, it is concentrated in the square but spills over into the Boulvard and surrounding streets.

Trading starts early and parking runs out around 10am

Shop first, then have a coffee around 10.30, followed by lunch at Noon until 2pm.

The stalls are gone by early afternoon, when the square reverts to outdoor dining.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. All are well priced, friendly and have a unique character.

English is generally spoken, but even poor French is appreciated.
